Wasteland 3 is a squad-based RPG featuring challenging tactical turn-based combat and a deep, reactive story full of twists, turns, and brutal ethical decisions that will keep you hooked whether you’re a Wasteland veteran or new to the series. Will you be Colorado’s savior or its worst nightmare? Build a reputation for yourself by making decisions that will profoundly impact Colorado, its inhabitants and the story you experience. All the while, you’ll have to decide who to trust in this land torn apart by corruption, intrigue, warring factions, crazed cultists, cutthroat gangs, and bitter sibling rivalries. You’re dispatched on a desperate quest from the scorching deserts to the snowy mountains to start from scratch, building a new base, finding a snow-worthy vehicle, training new recruits, and fighting your way through hostile frozen wastes.

Then the self-proclaimed Patriarch of Colorado radios, promising aid if you’ll do a job he can only entrust to an outsider-rescue his land from the ambitions of his three bloodthirsty children. More than a century after the bombs fell, you’re fighting a losing battle to keep your beloved Arizona alive. With that said, I'm kinda looking forward to revisiting it at some point with all the DLCs, now that the game is in theory fully fixed and functional, and has some potentially fun extra content. In Wasteland 3 you take command of a squad of Desert Rangers, lawmen and women in a post-nuclear world, trying to rebuild society from the ashes. I also found the game was shorter than I had hoped, but that wasn't necessarily awful, just an observation on my side. What doomed it for me though was the criminal amount of bugs the game was released with, including the fact that was actually impossible to play the game in coop, despite that aspect being one of the highest self-glorified pitches the game came with, and game-breaking bugs that were accentuated by the fact that, at the time at least, the game just had 3 autosave/quicksave slots or something ridiculously low that got overwritten within 10 minutes of playing, so if your game broke for some reason, most likely there wasn't a safe point for you to try to salvage the playthrough and you had to restart from scratch (happened to me, about 15 hours in). I honestly enjoyed W元 quite a bit, and I found the game entertaining, though some systems weren't ideal (ie, needing to have skilldump characters at the base to sell/craft cus those skills were useless anywhere else) and combat wasn't really well balanced. As they face overwhelming odds, the Rangers will need to shut down reactors, clear ventilation systems, and engage defensive countermeasures to stem an unending tide of dangerous mutants and machines within the dilapidated military bunker. Your squad of Rangers will be tested like never before in objective-based encounters that put a creative spin on the already deeply tactical turn-based combat. It's one last mission for the Rangers in Colorado, and the outcome is certain to be explosive-one way or the other.Ĭult of the Holy Detonation expands the Wasteland 3 experience with entry into the Cheyenne Mountain complex, crammed with new characters, enemies, challenging combat encounters, and powerful new weapons and armor.

The warring cults have differing opinions on who should be allowed to honor their god, and you're going to have to muscle your way to the altar.
